Workshop
Art Rooted in Cheshire Workshop
Immerse yourself in abstract collage and explore your personal connection to the place you call home.
Using Japanese papers such as Washi, Lokta, rice papers, and abaca tissue, alongside earth pigments made from Cheshire soil and photographic elements, you’ll create a unique artwork that carries a sense of Cheshire into your living space.
This is a reflective, hands-on workshop designed to slow down, encourage observation, and awaken your awareness of the textures, colours, and rhythms of the world around you.
Through layering, tearing, and combining materials intuitively, your collage becomes a personal response to place — an abstract reflection of home, belonging, and the quiet beauty of your surroundings.
No previous experience is required — the focus is on process, curiosity, and connection, rather than technical perfection. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a finished piece that embodies the spirit of Cheshire, ready to live in your home and bring a sense of calm and grounding to your space.
